A 'Clown Lives Matter'!!!

Don't Paint All Clowns With The Same Giant Brush!!!

A 'Clown Lives Matter' march is due to take place next week to show that the performers are not 'psycho killers' following a spate of bizarre 'attacks' across America. But the 'peaceful protest' has come under fire from hundreds on social media who accused the organizers of mocking the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. Organizers have invited people to turn up to the march on 4th Avenue in Tucson, Arizona, wearing full clown make-up or masks.

An unlikely new activist group is responding to the wave of "creepy clown" sightings across America with a peaceful protest.

"Clown Lives Matter" is inviting clowns and clown-lovers to attend a peace walk on Saturday, Oct. 15, in Arizona. Supporters are asked to wear full clown makeup or a mask and meet for a rally starting at 6:30 p.m. on Fourth Avenue in Tucson.

A flyer posted on Facebook says "Clown Lives Matter" aims to show people that clowns are "not psycho killers,"

"We want the public to feel safe, and not be afraid. So come out, bring the family, meet a clown and get a hug!" the flyer reads.

OregonLive.com reports #ClownLivesMatter has become a popular hashtag on Twitter, though some users are tweeting support of professional jesters and others are criticizing it for allegedly mocking the Black Lives Matter movement.

Ron Cain, a real clown in Central New York who performs as "Yo-Yo the Clown," told CRAZY VIBEZ RADIO  he's become afraid to walk around in white face make-up and a red nose.

"These creepy clowns walking through the neighborhoods is really disturbing for us good clowns who just want to make people happy," Cain said. "There are a lot of good clowns out there."

Reports of "creepy clowns" originated in South Carolina in August, and then similar alleged sightings were reported in other states. More than a dozen incidents in Upstate New York have been investigated by police, though most sightings have been unconfirmed, leading to speculation about hoaxes.

A 13-year-old boy from Ulster County has been charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony, after he used a "creepy clown" Facebook page to issue death threats against former classmates. "If you want to die come to PMS on Friday," he wrote as Kluster thee Klown, referring to Poughkeepsie Middle School.

The Village of Phoenix Police Department has asked Central New Yorkers not to dress up like a clown for Halloween due to the hysteria.

"Really not sure how we have gotten to this point, but I will tell you that if someone hides behind a clown costume with the intent to cause fear, alarm, or commit a crime we won't be clowning around when they are apprehended. Let's get back to being decent human beings," the police department wrote on Facebook.

"On a side note- these clowns are giving real clowns a bad rap.....#realclownslivesmatter.

So let's stop our clowning around and let's be good clowns.
